MY FIRST VIDEO!!!

Hi Everybody!  Well, I am now a "movie" acTOR!  HA!  I just found out today that my little nothing digital camera would indeed film a "How To" video!  GO FIGURE!  Really its more like a WELL DUH! but I just didn't know.  It was a LOT of trial and error at first but I finally got something that I'm just gonna go with, because I could be here WEEKS trying to get happy with it!

Things you learn when you tape yourself.... UGLY HANDS and ARMS!!!  OH MERCY!  And, the voice is kinda pitiful, but ya know what...... I have to go with what I have, no changing things now!

I really hope to get better with it so I can do more, practice! practice! practice!

Anyway, here is my first shot at it!  Well, ok, take 5 or 6 of my first go at it :-)

LET'S HAVE A RETREAT!!!

OH MY GOSH!!!  Ladies!  Let's plan a craft retreat!  LOOK WHAT I FOUND just 40 miles north of Atlanta!!!  Start saving your money now!  Plan on $250 per person for two nights (it could be less... it all depends on numbers and how much crafting you want)  We can have up to 12 people but that would include some room sharing and there are 3 upper bunks ... so might not want a full 12 ...... all meals included for that price....  Look at some of the pictures and let me know what you think.  Fall is pretty booked, only a couple weekends left so it could be next year before we could do it... though they might let us go during the week if that works for enough folks.

Check it out!

Our retreat / craft house is designed to give you a place to relax, unwind, and accomplish those things you never seem to have the time or space to do at home. We offer a spacious workroom and comfortable accommodations for groups interested in a scrapbooking, quilting, beading, stamping or other crafting retreat.
Let us spoil you!

Tons of Changes!

Today has been a BUSY BUSY DAY! I hope you can tell by all the changes I have made since you last checked in. The fun part for me about teaching these classes is all the new stuff I am learning in order to create this blog. I spent all day saying "COOL! I didn't know I could do that!"

I'm thinking that I need to go into the "How to Create a Blog" training business!  HA!
Please note some of the new things:
  1. the obvious new background ... I LOVE IT! It isn't perfect because this area is too narrow and I can't change it...I considered another template but nothing made me happy like this one. I love the color combinations and, well, just everything!
  2. the menu bar across the top...gotta love that!
  3. "Schedule" - You can go here to see a list of classes, and a calendar with the same. "Templates" - the place you can go to buy templates we used in the class.... the ones I created anyway, can't sell those I bought from someone else :-)  There aren't any pictures yet, I'll try to get those done tomorrow (well later today now)
  4. "Tool Kit" - Just a list of things you'll need when you aren't in class... though bringing your tools to class would be an awesome thing!
  5. "Gallery" - the place for pictures, when there are some :-)
  6. OH!  One more thing, I just changed it so that anyone can comment, you have have to have a Google account for that.
That's about it for today... its 4:35 AM and I need to sleep!  Please check everything out and any input is welcome.  Thanks for stopping by!

Toilet Paper Rolls

Yesterday I sent a message to everyone to start saving toilet paper rolls because I had thought of something to use them for... won't say what here. This morning Diane wrote and said she would start saving them from the office! OMG!!! OK, now that's A LOT of TP rolls!!!

But, it got me to start an internet search for other ideas. Can you say CHEESY!!! Just how many UGLY UGLY things can your make with a TP roll?!!! I'm sorry but.... I need some imagination here folks! Then I ran across the following site....you have got to check this site out!

I LOVE THAT!!! I want to do that! But I don't want it to take 3-4 hours! :-) I don't have that kind of patience!

I WILL NOT KNOW who says what, so PLEASE, be honest! I tried pasting the questions here but that didn't work...I also put a pop-up, lets see if that worked!!!
