This One Makes Me Giggle :-)

One day, a couple months ago, I was "out on the web" and saw some hanging flowers in emptied, recycled light bulbs!    I FELL in LOVE!  But it was hanging in a shop without instructions.  So I did a search on how to clean them out and found a "How To" on TeamDroid.... And I went about claiming all the burnt out lights in the house (I have TONS) and started cleaning those babies out!  So, now I have a lot of cleaned out light bulbs, but what do I want to do with them?  TeamDroid had used theirs for a little terrarium ...cute, but I didn't love the little contraption they had made to sit it on, and I knew I didn't want to hang them, so that was out.

I wanted it to stand straight up!

Welllllll, last night I had a AH HA! moment!

Here you go...

LOOK WHAT I USED!!!!

I KNEW I was saving them for a reason!  One more bottle recycle thing! (insert giggling here)  I LOVE MY LIFE!!!!

I just used white glue to glue it on... now, I will probably paint it another color to use for real...you know this was just a prototype.  Actually, a lot of water bottles have a simi-clear top and the ring is smaller...better yet!

  5. hi Rhissanna and pitavola! You are welcome for the link...and pitavola, I think you said something about being patient. Patience really isn't required, I really have no place to use the things I make so I'm in no big rush to figure things out. It really is about the doing, not the having. I could probably give what I make away but they are usually prototypes and I rarely make more. Except for these!!! I'm making some of these for gifts! Of course, they will have fresh flowers in them when I do. (the picture leaves were from a wild vine growing up on my back deck! I think some of it may even be poison ivy!...nope, not allergic)

  9. HI ANONYMOUS! THANKS! That would be cute, and I have some so that'll be my next "to do". I just have this ongoing thing on how to recycle a plastic bottle and that little circle had me stumped! Only found one thing to do with them and it was just so-so.

    THANKS AGAIN!

  10. Very welcome. It was the first thing that popped in my head and something that is often "free" and recycled. Might have to grab a couple bulbs and make something like this. -BT
